Therapies & Practices |
Therapies and Practices Therapy is a wonderful thing.
One could define therapy as anything that a person practices to promote good physical and mental health. It can be in a group or as an individual. Therapy, when practiced correctly, can be very healing mentally and physically. It can be used as an alternative to modern medicine.
Instead of taking muscle relaxers one could go to a massage therapist and receive the same affect. Acupressure, which is when one puts pressure on different points of the body to relieve pain, can be used instead of pain pills. Water therapy can help with cleansing the bowels. Then there are the home remedies that are natural cures.
These can be used to cleanse the body of toxins and promote health. Examples of home remedies include: Honey and vinegar, which will relieve a cough, brown sea weed which can help with opening the cervix in child birth, and asparagus which can help with urinary tract issues. Therapy can also be good for ones mental health. Talking with a therapist allows one to get the confidence of a one on one meeting and group therapy allows one to meet with others having the same issues. Yoga is a good form of therapy because it allows the body to stretch and relax while the minds slows down and unwinds.
One could even practice pilates to promote good mental health. Pilates allows one to focus on their body and the strength it holds. There is also medical therapy. This is chemotherapy, radiation, chemical therapy, and much more.
These forms of therapy are essential in treating things like cancer and seizures. In some cases shock therapy is used to help psychiatric patients. Water therapy is also used as a medical treatment. When a person has had a back injury or has loss bone mass, water therapy elevates pain and allows these people to exercise. Although there are many forms of therapy and different ways to practice them.
It is a personal choice for most as to which one to practice. All of the home and group therapy's have positive affects on the body and mind. It helps to restore the natural flow and strength of both. Through medical therapy a body can heal with the guidance of a doctor. Some people may not have the know how or resources to practice home therapy. A medical professional is a help because they can teach and help heal at the same time. Every form of therapy is good and helpful. Find what fits and stick with it.
