Chest and LungsChest - anatomical term is the part of your body that is enclosed by the ribs and sternum.
This part of your body is found in the area between your neck and stomach, along with the other internal organs. Inside your chest are your lungs and heart, the two internal organs.
Lung - the respiratory organs of numerous vertebrates and invertebrates.
They are enclosed by your chest; this makes the chest something like a covering for all your internal organs. Your lungs are respiratory, this means that they help you to inhale and exhale air. Your lungs are responsible distributing oxygen throughout your body, they are the reason that you are able to talk and communicate.
If you experiences discomfort in the chest area like you would if you had chest congestion, you should see a doctor right away.
A mild chest pain can mean nothing and just leave you feeling annoyed and wishing it would disappear but it can also be very serious or even critical. In more serious cases, a persistent chest pain can mean lung diseases or lung cancer. Lung disease is a disease when one or maybe even both of your lungs have a difficulty functioning.
Normally if there is an obstruction in the airflow which causes the airways to be blocked this is asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis are likely to occur. In most cases it is the restrictive lung disease that is caused by the reduction of flexibility of the lungs, leaving you feeling rather terrible.
Lung cancer is likely to be the most common form of lung disease and it is mainly diagnosed to heavy smokers.
Smoking cigarettes causes unreal damage to your very important lungs; this is why smoking is so dangerous and should be avoided. Lung cancer from smoking can be the most dangerous kind of cancer for both genders of humans.
A few possible lung cancer symptoms are:
- Unexplained weight loss
- Constant bad cough
- Having shortness of breathe for no reason
- Loss of appetite and interest in food
- Coughing up blood or coughing up phlegm that contains traces of blood
- A pain in your chest when inhaling, coughing, sneezing, etc
- Sudden indescribable chest pains
- All smokers are at a risk of lung cancer
Whether you are a smoker or not, lung cancer can happen to you.
That is why it is important for you to see a doctor if you experience any of the above symptoms. Even if you are sure that it’s nothing, just have it checked. Rather be safe then sorry!
