I am pregnant and I can't take any prescription drugs, do you know how I can heal my strep throat without medication? Thank you!

There are some herbal blends which could be helpful in dealing with your strep.  However, it would depend on where you are in your pregnancy in order to have you consider these.  Therefore, the safest strategies would be to support your immune system to the fullest.

Castor oil packs without direct heat (castor oil rubbed on the belly, then immersed in bathwater or in a warm shower) before bed may be helpful.  Also, consider some topical hydrotherapy to your throat.  This would be a cold water/squeezed out cotton wrap around your throat --surrounded by a wool cloth before you go to bed.

An essential oil room spray with a combination of ravensara, eucalyptus, geranium and palmarosa oils in a carrier spray may also prove beneficial. Be sure you are taking some good pre-natal vitamins, along with at least 80-90 grams of protein per day.   You may also consider a honey/lemon drink or an over-the-counter herbal throat lozenge (with minimal sugar) to  palliate your symptoms.  'Hope you are feeling better soon!
