Remedies for dandruff

Although there are various cosmetic shampoos that claim to fight dandruff, they often aggravate the condition as they contain numerous chemicals. Avoid shampoos that are strongly perfumed or have rich colours as this obviously means that they contain potentially harmful additives.

One of the most effective natural treatments for dandruff is to Soak a handful of Fenugreek seeds overnight and crush them into a paste along with a piece of beetroot and an egg yolk.

Apply this paste to your scalp and let it soak in for at least an hour. Do this at least twice a week to get rid of dandruff permanently.  You can continue using this paste as a nourishing hair mask at least once a month to keep your hair soft and silky and most importantly, dandruff free!

Make sure that you oil your hair regularly. Heat your regular hair oil and drop a couple of garlic flakes and three to four peppercorns into it. Apply this oil regularly to keep your hair well nourished an free from dandruff.

In addition to this make sure that you always use products that are suited to your hair type. Try to use a blow dryer only occasionally and make sure that you do not keep it on its maximum setting as this will damage your hair.
