Flaxseed prevents constipation and has several other large benefits. You can add flaxseed to many meals — salad, cereals, cakes, juices. Buy whole flaxseed and grind it just before you add it to food.


Juices in general are beneficial, but particularly carrot and spinach juice. You can prepare a mix of the two, and even add beetroot juice to the concoction. Another simple home-made concoction can be prepared by grinding papaya seeds. Take about a tablespoon of this juice with a teaspoon of fresh lime juice once a day. Occasional juice fasts are also advisable.

Also try the herb eclipta alba. You should be able to buy juice or other extracts of the plant from any herbal shop. Take a teaspoon of the juice mixed with honey two or three times a day for a month.
