As a part of blister treatment it is very important control the blister from growing larger and causing pain. It is necessary to catch the blister at a young stage to prevent it from growing larger. Try the following tips to get rid of your blisters –
- If your blister is too large then pricking it and draining the inner contents is a wise idea.
Leave the little blisters alone to heal on their own. Use a sterilized equipment to break open the blister to avoid any kind of infection. Once you drain the fluid from the blister the pain will decrease to a greater extent.
- Never pull the upper skin or the roof, as this will make the blister skin raw, prone to infection and also cause pain.
- If you have blisters on your feet then try rubbing Vaseline over the feet before wearing the shoes. Avoid wearing wet socks as the chances of developing a blister increases in a wet environment when coupled with friction. Trying new sock and new shoes would also help.
- Consult a specialist if there is associated infection or excessive pain to relieve your condition.
